Cushcraft

Founded in 1954, Cushcraft has been a leading innovator in amateur radio antennas for over 70 years. Headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, Cushcraft designs and manufactures high-performance antennas that allow ham radio operators to make consistent contacts near and far.

For over 70 years, Cushcraft has been a leading innovator in amateur radio antennas. Founded in 1954 by Richard Cushman, an avid ham radio operator, the New Hampshire-based company has grown from humble beginnings in a garage to become globally recognized in the antenna market.

Cushcraft is known for producing high-quality, high-performance antennas for hams and professionals alike. Their extensive product catalog includes directional Yagi beams, multiband verticals, portable antennas and more. Cushcraft’s ingenious designs, rigorous testing, and durable construction allow radio enthusiasts to achieve maximum range and clarity on the airwaves.

The company manufactures all of its antennas locally in the USA using state-of-the-art facilities and time-tested techniques. Cushcraft employs seasoned professionals including expert antenna engineers who are constantly improving designs through innovation. Their technical support team is ready to help customers get the most out of new products.

Cushcraft users span the globe, from casual hobbyists to DX chasers to contesters and EMCOMM groups. For over half a century, radio amateurs have trusted the Cushcraft name when purchasing antennas. As the company enters its 8th decade, it remains dedicated to leading the industry by pushing antenna technology to new levels. Cushcraft continues to expand its catalog to empower hams to pursue all radio communication interests.

Cushcraft Trendding Products

Computer-aided modeling and test range techniques were used by Cushcraft engineers to further optimize the performance of their popular 6M Yagi beam antennas. This process means more gain and cleaner patterns with excellent front-to-back ratios. The “S” models have very broad bandwidth so they will not detune in harsh weather. They feature stainless steel hardware for a long, trouble-free life. These antennas can be mounted vertically for FM use.

Cushcraft HV-4E Four-Band Low Profile Vertical Antennas are capable of operation on 40-10 meters, with a power rating of 1200W SSB, 500W CW and 500W digital on 40 Meters. The design of this antenna focuses RF energy on the horizon for optimum DX coverage through low angle radiation. It also features a high-angle overhead null that rejects noise and local interference. The HV-4E uses high-tech parallel end resonators for automatic band-switching instead of lossy series traps. The high-Q top-loading resonators deliver less loss and higher gain on 20, 15 and 10 meters.

Cushcraft HV-4E Antenna Tilt Mounts are the perfect accessory to the HV-4E antennas and will allow the antenna to be tilted over instead of needing to remove it from the base mount for maintenance and tuning.

Use one of these Cushcraft 70cm FM Yagi beam antennas for your FM/packet needs. They work great in either vertical or horizontal polarization applications. The 6-element design provides a 10.5 dBi gain in a concentrated single direction, while the 11-element design provides a 13.2 dBi gain in a concentrated, narrow-beam width.

Add 40 or 30 meter coverage to your Cushcraft A4S Tri-Band Beam Antenna with a Cushcraft A744 40/30 Add-On Kit. These kits provide all of the parts required to modify your Cushcraft Tri-Bander to also operate as a rotatable dipole on either 40 meters or 30 meters, as chosen for your modification. These kits include high power traps with heavy-duty fiberglass insulators, aluminum tubing and all stainless steel hardware, which are used to modify the tri-bander driven element.

Cushcraft 6M/2M/70cm Multi-Band Beam Antennas are designed to provide hobbyists who have limited tower or mast space with directional antenna performance on three of the most popular bands. These antennas combine 6 meters, 2 meters, and 70 centimeters, all on one boom.
